Our business started out as a home working enterprise and has grown over the years. We now have a team of people with our own business premises. This means we know first hand what it’s like starting a business from scratch and juggling all the different demands as your business grows. Meet the Team
Adrian Harris is the managing director at Rosy Jeffery Ltd. He leads the Rosy Jeffery team keeping everyone motivated and up-beat. He is friendly and loves to help people.
He qualified in 1998 and is a Fellow Association Chartered Certified Accountant (FCCA). Since starting his career he has gained 25+ years of experience working in a number of accountancy practices throughout the UK. He has spent this time looking after the accountancy and taxation needs of small business owners and individuals.
In his spare time he enjoys listening to music and he plays the tuba for Sidmouth Town Band. He enjoys the occasional round of golf and often watches and listens to the rugby and cricket.
Mark runs the payroll department for Rosy Jeffery Ltd and also works in Accounts production. Karen works alongside Mark assisting with day to day payroll administration. He started his training in 1980 with a market town practice of Chartered Accountants and then pursued an Accountancy career in Industry with large farming and food processing companies in the UK, Holland and Germany.
Returning to practice in 2006, he is a member of the Institute of Financial Accountants (AFA), and enjoys the hands on approach using his Industry knowledge.
As a former Rugby player he can be seen supporting his local side and plays Double Bass in Jazz and Folk Bands.
Lee is married to Adrian and has been for the past 20 years. She is one of the first faces that you will see when you walk into our offices and she will always have a smile on her face.
After many years working in academia, pastoral and caring professions, Lee joined Rosy Jeffery Ltd to assist Adrian with the administration of the practice. She is a qualified bookkeeper, and as the practice manager looks after our own admin and accounts.
She enjoys crafts such as, knitting and painting as well as being in the garden and looking after their family cat.
Jackie joined us in 2003 as a part time worker and has since increased her hours to fit around her family. She is a behind the scenes genius that keeps the business running.
She graduated from the University of Exeter in 1994 with BA (HONS) Accountancy. She then commenced ICAEW chartered accountancy training with a local accountancy firm. She passed the first professional exam, and then took some time off from studying to start her family while continuing to work for the same accountancy firm.
In her spare time Jackie enjoys reading, watching films and walking in the countryside.
Julie is responsible for the office administration and also provides a supporting role as Adrian’s personal assistant.
Julie joined the Rosy Jeffery team in 2016 and she has enjoyed a long career working in commercial accounts administration, PA and private estate management roles.
Julie enjoys spending her spare time outdoors, either fossil hunting on the Jurassic Coast beaches or walking in the beautiful Devon countryside, with a particular passion for wildlife photography.
Alison joined us in December 2016 as a bookkeeper. She is a member of the Association of Accounting Technicians as well as the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers. She comes to us with a wealth of experience both in practice and in public finance.
Alison is responsible for clients who require bookkeeping and VAT Returns, and is experienced using various computer accountancy packages.
She is married with three grown-up children and two dogs, and has a farming background. Alison enjoys helping with local community events and fundraising. Her hobbies include sewing, gardening and playing badminton, as well as trips out in her VW Camper
Andrea is the newest member of the Rosy Jeffery team and she is one of our receptionist administrators. Andrea will often be your first point of contact when you ring or visit our office and she has a strong background in all aspects of office administration.
Andrea grew up in Lyme Regis so she knows the area very well if you need directions to our offices at Hunthay Business Park.
Her hobbies include listening to music, watching films and going to live music events and she loves to spend time with her children and walking her dogs.
Andrea is also a keen supporter of local community projects, helping as Treasurer for two local organisations.
Originally from South Wales, Andrea has lived in Devon for over 20 years with her husband and 2 children.
Although her background is in teaching, she has enjoyed working in various administrative roles over the past 6 years. Andrea recently joined the team at Rosy Jeffery Ltd as one of our administrators.
When she’s not shivering on the side-lines watching her sons play rugby or football she can be found in the kitchen baking and eating cakes and then burning them off at the gym!
Mel first joined Rosy Jeffery in 2011 and she is one of the office accounts Administrators.
After many years involved in the management of Thoroughbred bloodstock and teaching, Mel is also a writer with four published books. As well as writing, Mel is a sometime triathlete and aspiring ultra runner who is married with two children, two Highland ponies and a springer spaniel.
Helen has recently joined our bookkeeping team and has a wealth of experience in Sage accounting software. Helen is an Associate Member of the ICB and regularly attends regional ICB meetings.
In her spare time Helen loves to try her hand at creative crafts and has a particular passion for jewellery making which she studied at university at the school of jewellery in Birmingham.
Helen also loves dancing, listening to music and landscape photography.
